Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to share with you our book "Tuning Mental Frameworks".
The book “Tuning Mental Frameworks” is a collection of some common examples of feeling of imposter syndrome, implicit biases, and microaggressions one may come across in academic environments, presented with the help of cartoons.
We hope these stories will help readers spot some of the hidden traits in and around them as well as fuel conversations. Without trying to define right or wrong, readers are encouraged to reflect on the impact of these stories - What can be done to address such challenges?
The book is mainly aimed at science students at the graduate level.
It has its roots in interactive workshops conducted as a part of TIFR Vigyan Vidushi (Physics) programme and the Gender in Physics Working Group (GIPWG) activities. Many workshop participants could relate to several situations and encouraged us to reach a wider audience. Thus emerged the idea to tell stories through cartoons…
We believe it is a step towards increasing awareness and fostering a positive work environment…
The book can be downloaded (for free) at the links given below.
