The Gender in Physics Working Group of the Indian Physics Association (IPA) organized Pressing for Progress, a first-of-its kind national conference towards gender equity in Physics in India, in 2019 at Hyderabad University. This meeting focused on the key issues faced at different levels of career, and based on various discussions, the ‘Hyderabad Charter for Gender Equity in Physics’ was formalized and circulated to the members of different institutions for their endorsements.
We are sending this email to collect endorsements from the Physics PhD students, faculty and staff and would appreciate if you could spare 3-4 minutes filling out this form.
I've attached the Hyderabad Charter Document below. Please submit this form to support the content of the Charter. The intent is two-pronged - first that this will form a starting point for discussions locally within departments and institutions and second, that with a
significant number of endorsements, can be taken up to policy
makers to adopt more meaningful and effective interventions.
