| Job Title: PhD Position in Cosmology and Large-Scale Structure Studies (GS-2024012) Job Category(s) : PhD Job Description : Description The Physics Program (group of Prabhakar Tiwari) is looking for 1 PhD student to conduct research in cosmology and large-scale structure studies. Contract duration: 3 + 1 years. Project Details The Ph.D. students will primarily focus on investigating the large-scale structure through galaxy surveys, with a specific emphasis on the study of radio galaxy catalogs. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with the LOFAR Cosmology Group and lead projects in the field of cosmological exploration using the upcoming data release from the LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey (LoTSS). This offers a unique opportunity for students to actively engage in cutting-edge research with the support of leading experts in the field. Additionally, these positions offer active involvement in cosmology projects associated with the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) survey, allowing students to contribute to ground-breaking cosmological discoveries. These positions provide an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant research community, collaborate with world-class researchers, and play a significant role in advancing our understanding of the cosmos.
