| Job Title: JRF position in ISRO Sponsored Project at IIT (BHU) Varanasi Job Category(s) : PhD Job Description : Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at a fixed Stipend/Fellowship/Salary amount of Rs. 37,000 p.m. (+ HRA) in an ISRO Sponsored Project entitled “Understanding and predicting the emergences of solar active regions and forecasting their impacts on space weather”. Duration of the post is up to three years, depending on performance and the post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The candidate should possess MSc in Physics/Math (With CSIR NET LS/JRF/GATE/JEST qualification) or B.Tech/M.Tech (with GATE qualification). The upper age limit is 35 years (relaxation as per GoI Rules); All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Essential qualifications: (a) Post Graduate Degree in Physics/Math with minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CPI) and valid NET/GATE score. OR (b) Four-year BTech degree in professional/engineering course with minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CPI and valid NET/GATE score. Desirable qualifications: Basic knowledge of numerical simulations, computer programming and AI/ML.
